Hotel and Hostel

The hotel has 51 tastefully decorated rooms, all with toilet and shower. Each room is equipped with phone, television and wireless internet and most of the rooms have a sea view.

The entire hotel is non-smoking.

Sjögården is fully adapted for guests with impaired mobility, with lifts, ramps and disabled toilets throughout the hotel ensuring the same access for guests in wheelchairs as for others. Furthermore the hotel has four specially designed double rooms with private adapted shower and toilet facilities. In our disability friendly spa area, the indoor swimming pool has a ramp and rails for facilitating access for less mobile guests. Our hotel has recently been tested by a local Swedish disability organization and we are proud to have passed without needing to make any changes.

The hotel also has several lovely areas for relaxing in. The cosy sitting room with its open fireplace has a terrace with a sea view as well. In the library, where we serve our delicious Afternoon Tea, you can browse through a selection of books and magazines to find something interesting to sit and read there, or in the privacy of your own room.

Today the Youth hostel has 15 rooms of different size and is open for tourists all year round.

How to find us

From Gothenburg: (south)
Drive north on the E6 exiting at the sign for Tjörn/Orust. Follow the road over the bridge (Tjörnbron) and continue along road 160 to Varekil.  Turn left signposted Ellös (road 178).
When you arrive in Ellös drive straight on at the crossroads, after about 200m you will see a signpost for Sjögården, turn left and the hotel is 100m away.

From Uddevalla: (north)
From the E6 motorway coming south from Oslo follow signs for Torpmotet (junction 96) and follow the 161 towards Orust. At the Rotviksbro roundabout follow the signpost for Henån (road 160).
In Henån turn right at the T junction and follow signposts for Ellös. When you arrive in Ellös drive straight on at the crossroad, after about 200m you will see a signpost for Sjögården, turn left and the hotel is 100m away
