Bicycle and motorbike tours
From Ellös you will find a web of roads perfect for bicycling on moderately busy country roads. This is a sailing area with several wharfs of top international standard. Enjoy the free day, find your personal cliff or beach and enjoy the food pack well deserved. The panorama of the sailing-and motorboats is fantastic.

On you motorbike you will find the roads perfect for your "gliding tour". Most probably you will find your own preferences on the island but al roads finally ends up in a small harbor, at a bridge, close to a bathing place or a boatyard.

Excursions
We have several suggestions to make as we are situated very strategic on the coast.

If you stay on the islands:
Visit Hälleviksstrand and take the regular boat to Käringön. Places you have never seen and with names almost impossible to pronounce. But nevertheless do not let this stop you! Go to Allmogebåtmuseet (Historical local wooden boat museum).Take a day to visit the Fishing industry either in activity or as a museum. Combine a day for visiting Akvarellmuseet (Waterpaintmuseum/exhibition)

If you leave the islands
Visit Lysekil, a small town full of royal traditions from the years the King visited the town for its salty and sunny facilities for bathing. Visit the also Havets Hus (House of the Sea) with all the sea life from the west coast presented in basins. Extremely popular to bring the children there or to the nearby Nordens Ark (Nordic Ark) presenting the Nordic protected animals and the best season for visiting is spring and autumn as most animals disappear in the heavy green. For a historical reference from this coast side you can visit Bohusläns museum (County museum).

Seaside Golf
With only one hour away from Gothenburg you will reach around 20 golf courses within an hour. As several from the staff are golfers we can easily recommend a course in correspondence with your wishes.
Our speciality is Three Islands Golf. Come and play Skaftö GC 40 minutes away, Tjörns GC 35 minutes and Orust GC only 5 minutes from the hotel. We can book your start times and we can organize your competition.

Something to remember at sea
Sjögården was originally created as a recreational resort for the retired sea employees and their relatives. Traditionally Sjögården has organized boat trips of different kinds. Often tailored after the request from the guests.
